First, Which room is it going in?

The very first thing to think about when buying a new peice of furniture is which room of the house is it going in? Really think about what you want that room to offer you, this will help you narrow down your search. 

Second, where in the room is it going?

Look at the size and shape of the room and the available space. It’s very easy to make a room look cluttered, so if your short on space then you should be looking at items with good storage. For Example, an ottoman in the bedroom is great for storage and adds additional seating, a multi-use peice. 

Do you need to match up to exisiting furniture or are you trying to make a statement?

The existing furniture in the room plays a big part on your choice, are you trying to be discreet and match or wanting to make a statement, Accent chairs are excellent for this as options in fabric and patterns are endless and can really bring the room to life!
